I don't know how it is called in english, but I created a new layer set on "bright/vivid light" mode! 
I did the same here!WIP - Rising Sun by Kibbitzer try!

draw the lines, add colour, "add a few details and reflections" :D
Do you use those overlay layers to tweak the tones or do you paint directly into your colour layers?

I can tell you worked really hard on this piece! I was wondering, how long did it take you to finish this? The sketch alone seemed to take a couple of hours
