Immortality is a bad thing :c

Do mortals die in the undying lands? nice question! I always thought YES but now I'm not sure.
Christopher Tolkien has divulged some of his father’s letters and they said this:

"the mythical idea underlying is that for mortals, since their ‘kind’ cannot be changed for ever, is strictly only a temporary reward: a healing and redress of suffering. They cannot abide for ever, and though they cannot return to mortal earth, they can and will ‘die’ of free will, and leave the world.”

SO....they have lived longer, not forever! OR NOT? perhaps there is no one right answer .___.
I want to resurrect Tolkien to have a CLEAR ANSWER XD

An age or two later, some elf children will come to learn the bow from a master. He smiles and shows them the ropes and, after the lesson is done, gives them some food. As they sit, they notice that, framed above the fireplace, is a strange axe, different than any Noldorin, Teleri, or other elven design they've seen. They ask their teacher why such a strange weapon meant for melee combat holds such a place of honor for one of the greatest Archers of the Eldar.

Legolas's eyes grow distant as his looks far back, a smile of equal parts sadness and joy gracing his face.

"Come then, let me tell you the story of the Dwarf who was more worthy than Feanor in the eyes of Galadriel, who fought the great darkness of Sauron, who alone came to the Undying Lands for a time. Let me tell you of my best friend, Gimli the Dwarf."
